Bill Josephison is the Owner/Operator of Big Sky Equipment & Excavating Ltd. Our team has more than 50 years of experience in various areas, including but not limited to:

We are currently licensed to work in and around The City of Calgary, Town of Strathmore & other surrounding areas. We obtain the proper licenses wherever the job make take us! We have a select group of professionals that we work with to accomplish the best workmanship possible.
All trucks hired on our sites comply or surpass all City and Highway regulations
Hydrovac/Daylighting is utilized wherever utilities are to be exposed
All excess fill from infill basements or other sites must be tested for contamination before removal
It is imperative that ALL locations have been done properly, whether by Alberta First Call (1-800-242-3447) or another private location company, prior to excavation being done by Big Sky Equipment & Excavating Ltd.
We recycle everything possible to the proper locations, it is never buried on site. ie: concrete, asphalt, wood, shingles, gyproc, plastic, steel, etc.

We maintain a fleet of equipment consisting of:
1. 250 Kobelco Excavator with thumb & various attachments:
- ripper
- twist with blade
-The 250 has proven to be a very worthwhile investment for site work, demolition, grading, deep service and large excavations. It is also the approved equipment on oil & gas facilities and pipeline cleanup
2. 3.5 Mini Excavator with thumb & various attachments:
- post hole auger 9" & 12" (dirt or rock)
- concrete breaker/asphalt cutter/compactor
-the Mini Excavator with post hole attachment is a wonderful tool for auger & post holes as the design makes it very agile. For breakup of driveways or cement pads, the concrete breaker attachment makes the job look easy!
3. 14' Dump Trailer
-this trailer is an asset for the removal of concrete, asphalt and on demolition sites.
4. 20' Trailtech Lowboy trailer
-this trailer is used to move the 3.5 mini to various jobs.
